Optorun and Satisloh enter a close cooperation

Satisloh is a leading ophthalmic coating and surfacing company with world wide presence in sales and service. Satisloh has a well established product range of box coaters together with expertise in coating processes and employs 450 persons world wide. It is well recognized brand globally in the area of ophthalmic coaters. Satisloh is focusing more on shifting sourcing parts, components and machines to non European areas to improve production efficiency for their world top rated products.

Optorun is rapidly becoming a leading precision optics coater company in the area of digital optics specializing in processing technology. It’s technology of optical thin film coating is recognized as the most advanced for new value creation in the digital optics market. Optorun has a series of optical thin film coaters to meet various clients’ needs. As early as 2000, Optorun established its own sourcing and manufacturing base in Shanghai. Currently, Optorun employs 210 employees in its Saitama (Japan) and Shanghai (China) locations.

In an effort to combine sourcing volumes and make their products more competitive, Optorun and Satisloh established a close cooperation: Satisloh supporting Optorun with opthalmictechnology and manufacturing skills and Optorun delivering ophthalmic box coater parts and components to Satisloh. The two companies have already worked together successfully for several months. With this step, Optorun expects to utilize Shanghai production facilities more stably increasing kinds of products it manufactures at it’s factory.

Both companies are considering expanding their joint production activities to various opthalmic products in Optorun(Shanghai) and sales cooperation as to precision and opthalmic products.
