Optorun has been providing optical coating process solutions to the industries based on its core competence, "Opto-Nanotechnologies", and it is our desire to make a significant contribution in realizing the advanced IT-based society through our business activities.

Major technological innovations in the late 20th century had induced a great progress in the high-tech areas such as semiconductors, digital technologies, and high speed data transmission. Having merged with the modern optics, those advanced high-technologies have enabled industries to develop various digital consumer products such as Digital Cameras, Projectors, DVDs, and FPDs (Flat Panel Displays), which have been longed for by the market.

Along with this movement, the expansion of broadband infrastructure based on fiber optics and HDTV broadcasting have also accelerated the advent of "an era of optics and visualization". Obviously, the dramatic effects have been spreading over other industries such as medical, bio-medical, and physical and chemical instrument and equipment.

With these dynamic changes, the related industries are rapidly growing and new demands, especially in the area of optical components, have been created one after another.

Needless to say, most optical components will not show their expected function or performance until optical coatings are applied. The importance of optical coating has been increasing yearly. Therefore, demands for advanced coating systems are getting higher and higher.

Starting its business with a big challenge to process development of ultra super NBPF (narrow band pass filter) for DWDM, OPTORUN were acclaimed by the related industries as a unique solution provider.

During the period of emerging digital optics, we continued to nurture our challenging spirit and succeeded in differentiating our key components and sub-systems such as high power ion sources and optical monitoring systems, keeping our coating systems extremely competitive.
