President's Message

　As a comprehensive manufacturer in the field of vacuum optical thin film deposition equipment, Optorun Co., Ltd. has the business model of "providing customers with total optical thin film deposition solutions based on opto-nanotechnology". We strive to develop the optical coating equipment with process know-how, provide products and services that add value to wide range of customers and societies.

　Since its establishment in 1999, Optorun Co., Ltd. has manufactured and sold various coating equipment in the fields like optical tele-communications, digital consumer electronics, solar cells, LEDs, smartphones, etc. In response to the needs of customer and the market, we have taken on the challenge of creating new frontiers for optical products using optical thin films technology and tried to find new possibilities in optical product applications.

　With the growth of diversified demands in the fields of 5G and IoT, the market trends of optical thin film coating technology go to two different directions. One is coating on 3D curved surface, the other is integration optical coating into semiconductor devices as optical sensor, which is widely used in ADAS, AR/VR and Biometrics. We consider these two trends as the most important development themes for our next growth stage. Atomic layer deposition (ALD) technology is an important new deposition technology. We introduced this technology in year 2018 and completed the transformation of ALD equipment form R&D to mass production phase in 3 years. Now, ALD equipment business has become an important part of the company's overall business in terms of the amount of both orders and sales.

　As a global R&D-driven company, we will continue to develop our optical thin-film and ALD businesses further to meet the growing optical and optronics (opto-electronic) demand, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of society.
